Request for Contract Attorney Candidates

We are looking for a self-starting attorney to perform contract work with our law firm, Oakhurst Legal Group. This attorney will have the freedom and be encouraged to bring in their own cases as well. 

Oakhurst Legal Group is a Charlotte based law firm that specializes in criminal defense law and problem-solving for some of the world’s best athletes & entertainers. Our sports clients range from professional football players to some of the best boxers in the world. Our community based practice focuses on criminal and civil rights law for high profile cases. 

Duties & Responsibilities: Ideally, our candidates would assist in both the criminal and sports immigration practice. The ideal candidate should have a team mentality with an emphasis on creativity. The candidates must also be able to thrive in a fast-paced environment and be able to multitask to meet deadlines in a timely manner.

Daily duties will include performing intake for new clients, for both immigration and criminal cases, court appearances for criminal issues, and filing and drafting cases for existing clients. 

IDEAL CANDIDATE

Candidates are preferred (not required) to have foreign language skills, and must possess excellent oral and written communication skills. Ideal candidate would have a desire to build their own practice. 

Candidates must have a high level of efficiency and accuracy in completing their daily objectives and should be computer literate with modern software applications. 

Professionalism and a strong work ethic are paramount. Ability to work independently is very important because a large portion of the work will be remote. Office work will be in a safe and isolated dedicated room for the candidate.
